Falken Launches New Ultra Ultra High Performance Tyre

Falken has launched the brand-new Azenis RS820 ultra ultra high performance tyre alongside the company’s most comprehensive range of tyres in its history.

Having the right tyres on your car is likely the best modification you can make. Let’s take things back to a basic level. Your car is connected to the ground via four wheels. They’re the only point of contact with the road. Having cheap, poorly rated tyres can be highly dangerous, especially in adverse conditions.

On the opposite side of the scale, you’ve spent thousands on not only buying your car, but then modifying it, having ultra high performance tyres can see one of the biggest positive changes you can make to your overall performance. The ability to transfer all of that power to the road will feel like you’ve added another 50bhp. And that’s not mentioning the benefits it brings to cornering and braking, not only in allowing you to corner faster, but also safely and with more predictability, while shortening your braking distances.

As a result, the launch of the brand-new Falken ultra ultra high performance tyre, the Azenis RS820, is a welcomed addition to the top tier of car tyres.

What is the Falken Azenis RS820 Ultra Ultra High Performance Tyre?

Firstly, it’s worth mentioning what an ultra ultra high performance tyre (UUHP) is. A UUHP is a tyre designed specifically for high performance vehicles. They offer the latest technologies to produce a tyre that delivers excellent dry handling and braking performance, as well as delivering an optimum level of wet weather performance. These tyres perform best in dry, warm conditions, which is when you’re likely to drive your high performance cars. On the flip side, their winter weather performance is compromised heavily. But that’s why winter and all-season tyres exist.

The Azenis RS820 is designed for high performance cars as well as SUVs, taking technology from its motorsport program. The team at Falken leant on its motorsport engineers in Europe, while also drawing from its parent company in Japan, Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd, to produce the new UUHP.

The Falken ultra ultra high performance tyre is initially available in 28 sizes, measuring 19 to 21 inches. Speed ratings are Y indexed meaning they are rated up to 186mph (300 km/h). Falken already boasts a nomination for ‘Tyre of the Year’ by the Tire Technology International Awards for Innovation and Excellence. It must be some tyre then!
