Ford Fair 2025 Show Report

Date: Sunday 10th August 2025
Location: Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire

We’ve just walked off the tarmac, and we’re still buzzing. Ford Fair 2025 didn’t just meet expectations—it floored them. Over 4,000 Fords, 15,000 fans, a stacked lineup of features, and the unmistakable feeling that this is the place to be if you’re into fast Fords.

Brought to life once again with support from headline partner Laird Performance, this year’s event pulled together everything that makes this scene tick—track time, club life, one-off builds, and a few surprises you had to see to believe.

Fastest Fords Display – Built to Perform, Built to Thrill

If you’re a fan of speed, engineering madness, or just love seeing Fords built to dominate, the Fastest Fords Display -sponsored by Liqui Moly – was the place to be.

Curated by the Fast Ford team, this year’s display was a brutal mix of power, presence, and track-ready performance. Every car was hand-picked for one reason: it stood out.

Better still, these weren’t static showpieces. Most of them were unleashed on the track throughout the day too, filling Silverstone with noise, spitting-fire, and tyre-schreeching sideways action.

Plus, our pal at Academy Motorsport brought along their ever-impressive race truck setup, along with not one, but two Mustang race cars! The first was their European GT4 racer, bound for Nurburgring later this week. The second was the Darck Horse Challenge car driven by Chris Harris and Chris Hoy at Le Mans recently!

Here’s just a few of the epic cars on display!

Guy Martin’s 700bhp Transit Supervan

Still one of the most talked-about vehicles of the day. Guy’s Nürburgring-conquering Supervan isn’t a gimmick—it’s a fully customised, rear-wheel drive, twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost monster pushing 700bhp.

Built in a shed. Tuned for war. Launched on the ’Ring. If you missed it at the Fast Ford stand, you missed something special.

James Price’s Twin-Turbo V8 Focus

Nicknamed the Flexus, this thing started life as a £600 ST170. It’s now a rear-wheel drive animal powered by a twin-turbo Lexus V8, with a 350Z rear end, custom side-exit exhausts, and some of the best fabrication work we’ve seen in years.

Forget the sleeper life. This car screams performance and looks like nothing else in the paddock.

Steve McCutcheon’s Mk3 Escort RS Turbo – Cosworth-Powered Sleeper

From a distance, it looks like a clean, slightly-lowered Series 1 Turbo. But under the bonnet? A forged Cosworth YB, T34 hybrid turbo, 4×4 running gear, and a ton of hidden upgrades.

Fast, focused, and dripping with ’90s Ford attitude. A true wolf in original paint.

40 Years of Ford Cosworth – Sierra, Sapphire, and Escort Icons Together

30 cars. Three generations. One legendary badge.

The Cosworth display was a standout moment at Ford Fair 2025. From low-mile survivors to 800bhp track builds, the variety was impressive and the atmosphere unmatched. Sierra RS, Sapphire, and Escort Cossies all stood side by side—a living tribute to four decades of RS heritage.

Cam Cover Trophy and Collector Keyrings

Dave Lee of XYZ Fabrications went above and beyond, creating a hand-finished Cosworth YB cam cover trophy for the best car in the display. He also designed custom-numbered keyrings for each owner—a proper collectible for a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Cosworth Bookazine – A Collector’s Must-Have

To mark the anniversary, Fast Car launched a brand-new 132-page Ford Cosworth 40th Anniversary Bookazine – available to buy on the day.

Inside you’ll find:

  • Full Cosworth history
  • Feature cars and builds
  • Tuning advice and rare insights
  • Road and motorsport legends

A Lap for Deano – Tribute to Dean Lewis

One of the most heartfelt parts of the day came just before lunch. 50 Fords joined a slow parade lap around Silverstone in memory of Dean ‘Deano’ Lewis – a true Ford scene legend.

Dean’s very own ‘Bluey’ and ‘Poppy’ – the Mk1 Escort and Mk2 Focus RS he was widely know for – led the procession, and the track fell respectfully silent. You could feel the emotion from the paddock to the grandstands. It was more than a tribute – it was a reminder of what the fast Ford community is really about.

Turbosystems Cars – The Originals Return

A landmark moment. For the first time in years, four iconic Turbosystems Motorsport cars were reunited:

  • Kev’s Car (F210KEV) – 540bhp RS500 demo car, revived after 28 years
  • Thunderstorm – 600bhp turbo monster, inspired by Kev’s Car
  • Snowstorm – Touring car spec RS500 on 3-spokes, built by Tony Mannock
  • DesertStorm – The original car owned by Tony himself that kicked off the Turbosystems legacy

These cars weren’t just fast—they were pioneers. Back in the 1990s, they were pushing over 600bhp and setting the bar for big-power builds. Their ‘Tiger Stripe’ livery became a cult symbol of UK tuning culture—and seeing them together again was something truly special.

They even made a T-shirt to celebrate!

Custom Trophies – Built, Not Bought

Trophy time hit different this year. Instead of plastic, we got art. Built by Mancavepembs using Sealey Tools, the awards included:

  • A turbo lamp for Best Engine
  • A working gear shifter lamp for Best Interior
  • A spray gun lamp for Car of the Show
  • A set of spanners for Built Not Bought
  • An impact gun lamp for Best Wheels

All winners were crowned live on the main stage in front of their peers.

Trophy Categories and Winners:

  • Car of the Show – Kieran Carton Ford Anglia
  • Best Engine – James Richardson Sapphire Cosworth
  • Best Interior – Mk3 Escort
  • Best Built Not Bought – Tobias Arkell Fiesta XR2i
  • Best Wheels – Kevin Johns Escort Cosworth

Boreham Motorworks’ Alan Mann Escorts

Another surprise highlight came from Boreham Motorworks, who brought the impressive Alan Mann 68 Edition Escort Mk1 to the show.

  • 1.8L Twin Cam
  • Twin Weber 45DCOE carbs
  • Period-correct 205PS output

Street Elite Show & Shine

Sponsored by Auto Finesse, Street Elite is Ford Fair’s premium show-and-shine competition – but it’s far more than just polished paintwork. Each car in this invite-only display is handpicked for its craftsmanship, creativity, and execution. From wild wide-arch builds to shaved bays and bespoke interiors, the standard was sky-high this year. Auto Finesse’s judges had the tough job of choosing a winner, with every car here proving that the UK Ford scene still sets the bar for detail.

Retail Village and Sponsors

Shopping at Ford Fair is always dangerous—in the best way. From throttle bodies to quickshifters, detailing gear to coilovers, the Retail Village was packed from start to finish.

Fantastic Ford Fair 2025

From track time and tributes to trophies and timeless builds, Ford Fair 2025 reminded us all why this event is the undisputed home of UK Ford culture.

We’ll be talking about this one for a long time. Or at least until 2026, when we’ll be back even bigger and better again!
